The existing post types are here to stay, but needed a refresh. The focus was to reduce post height, modernize the UI and eliminate interaction issues raised in customer feedback.
We reduced the average height of posts by roughly 46%
Until now, the feed was 100% made up of user generated content. We introduced 5 new auto-generated modules to highlight important information, relevant events, and sponsors.
This was a large project that required the creation of dozens of detailed design specs to help engineers implement the designs accurately and mitigate the amount of questions they may have during implementation.
